What is lahjalista.net?
Lahjalista.net is a free wishlist service for everyone to use - a wedding, birthday party or christmas presents for your family members.

What is a wishlist and wishlist group?
In lahjalista.net you can create two type of wishlists. For a wedding or a birthday party, try a simple wishlist where you add wishes for visitors to reserve. Wishlist group on the other hand is for example for family members or friends to share and reserve each other's wishes on christmas. In a group, everyone has a separated list of one's wishes.
Creating a new wishlist
To be able to create a wishlist, you must first sign up for a user name and password. After signing up you can create a new wishlist by clicking Create wishlist in the middle of front page. You can then choose a list key and title for your wishlist. Key must be 4 to 16 characters long and cannot include any special characters, title can be anything you like. You can write a greeting text that is shown on the top of your wishlist page. It is also possible to choose a password for the wishlist. If password is set, a password prompt will be shown to visitors before showing the wishlist. Finally you choose if visitors need to sign up to buy wishes from your list. Unchecking Sign up to reserve will allow viewers to mark wishes as bought without signing up.
After creating the wishlist, you see your wishlist page with no wishes yet. You can add wishes by clicking Add a new wish. You can add any number of wishes. A wish can have an optional description and a link to a productcatalog page etc. If the wish is not meant for a visitor to reserve, you can check Not for reserving. You can also set the quantity if you want more than one person to be able to reserve the wish.
You can change the order of wishes in your list by the arrow keys on the left side of the wish.
Creating a wishlist group
Wishlist group is a group of users, each with their own list of wishes. You can create a new group by clicking Create wishlist group in the middle of front page. A wishlist group also has a list key and title, and optional description. You can also choose to hide the list contents (i.e. joined users and their wishes) from anyone who has not joined the list, and set a password that is needed for joining the list.
After creating the list, you can join it by clicking Join the wishlist on the bottom of the list. Anybody joining the list will need to sign up before joining. Wishlist page will show users joined to the list and the number of wishes they have. By clicking a name you can see what wishes that user has, and reserve a wish same way as with the normal wishlist. Adding wishes is also identical, by the exception that you will not be able to change the order of your wishes.
Sharing your wishlist
Your can share your wishlist with the visitors, your friend, family members or anybody by sharing the list key. Visitors can then open your wishlist by writing the key to the List key box in the front page Open a list column. You can also share the direct link to your wishlist: www.lahjalista.net/listkey, where listkey is the list key of your wishlist. You can for example send this address by email, or print it to your invitation cards.
Signing up
To create a wishlist and add wishes you must sign up for a user account. Signing up is simple and does not require any personal information. You only choose your username, screen name and password. The username and password are the ones you must use to sign in when you need edit your wishlists and wishes afterwards.
